SCHEELS
Scheels is an American sporting goods retailer with 22 branches throughout the West and Midwest. It was founded in 1902 in Sabin, Minnesota, as a home hardware store by German immigrant Frederick A. Scheel. Scheels added sporting goods in 1954, and the company quickly expanded from Minnesota to the Dakotas, Iowa, in 2008 it opened the largest sporting goods store in the world in Reno, Nevada. Today, Scheels is an employee-owned, privately held business, and customer service is one of the hallmarks of the company.
