Ingredients
•3 Ib head of cabbage
•1/2 Ib lean ground beef
•1/2 lb hot Italian ground sausage
•1 tbsp dried parsley
1/2 tsp salt
•1/8 tsp Cayenne pepper
1/2 cup uncooked long grain rice
1 can tomato sauce
•1 can diced tomatoes
•1/2 tsp sugar

Directions
CA GROWN
• Bring a large pot of salted water to boil, place cabbage
in pot and cook until outer leaves pull away easily from
the head.
• Set aside 12 large leaves for the rolls.
• In a small bowl combine beef, pork and half of the
tomato sauce, rice, parsley, salt and Cayenne pepper
and mix well. Set aside.
•Cut the vein of each cabbage leaf making a "V" cut.
Place about 1/4 cup of the meat mixture of the cabbage
leaf. Overlap cut ends of leaf and fold in the sides, roll up
and repeat for each leaf.
• Place rolls in a glass baking dish. Combine can of diced
tomatoes, sugar and remaining tomato sauce in a bowl
and mix. Pour this over the cabbage rolls. Cover and
bake at 350" for 90 minutes, or until the rolls are tender.
