Caviar: Luxurious snacking
Few foods have historically defined opulence like caviar. When rolled between the
tongue and roof of the mouth, the tiny eggs
release a rich nutty salinity that’s a singular
taste experience. The Gourmet Food section
offers a wide selection of osetra caviar (one of
the most prized types), from small, 2-ounce
tins up to an entire kilo, almost 36 ounces.
Costco sources the highest-quality
caviar produced by farm-raised sturgeon.
The tender eggs, ranging in color from black
to steel gray to amber to golden, are saltcured, then hand-packed into tins.
For those looking to entertain a large
party of 25 to 30 guests, the Plaza Osetra
Kilo Caviar Pack is the ideal option. It
comes with a thermal tote and two large
mother-of-pearl spoons.

Gift baskets: Tasty treats
Baskets and boxes are an ideal starting
point for holiday entertaining. Costco.com
next-levels the gift-basket game with a selection of delicious, highly curated options.
Themes run the gamut from fruit and nuts
to cakes and cookies to deli items and
cheese. Members can find something that
feels genuinely personal for that special
friend, family member or colleague.
According to Chong, gift baskets are
popular year-round; however, sales spike
during the holidays. “It’s the gift-giving season, so to ensure we meet everyone’s needs,
we focus on providing our members with a
wide variety of items at different price
points,” he explains.
But don’t dillydally. Chong recommends
getting a jump on your holiday planning and
shopping. “If you see something you like in
the Gourmet Foods section, go ahead and
order it. We already see that this year’s
demand may cause some products to sell out
sooner than expected,” he says.
