LA GIUSTINIANA
GAVI LUGARARA
REGULAR $24.99
GAZETTE SPECIAL $19.99
Italy's most widely recognized and successful white
wines are crafted from the Pinot Grigio grape grown
throughout the Veneto and much of northern Italy. No
disrespect to Pinot Grigio, but a large percentage of them
are pretty mundane and lacking in dimension. Italy is a
very ag-rich country and there are many zones that make
pretty impressive whites. Piemonte (Piedmont) is home to
a few, and probably the most recognized is Gavi. Made
from 100% Cortese, La Giustiniana has a few cuvees,
all of which are impressively structured and impeccably
balanced. The Lugarara Cru hails from some fairly high
elevation old vines with sand and limestone soils. It offers
up plenty of pure summer orchard fruit, white flowers,
citrus and almond with a dry, crisp, zesty finish.
THIS IS A VERY SATISFYING AND EXOTIC WHITE
THAT TACKLES ANY POULTRY OR SEAFOOD DISH,
CREAM SAUCE OR GRILLED PRAWNS IN GARLIC
BUTTER.

BONANNO CARNEROS
CHARDONNAY
REGULAR $25.99
GAZETTE SPECIAL $21.99
BonAnno Chardonnay is sourced from the Los Carneros
AVA located just north of the San Pablo Bay and includes
parcels of Napa and Sonoma. The cool fog and breezes
off the bay keep the climate cooler and ideal area to
grow Chardonnay a la Burgundy. Owner/Winemaker Matt
Bonanno works closely with several vineyard managers
throughout the Napa Valley to ensure the quality of his
fruit and to maximize the potential of each vintage. Yes,
he is a perfectionist. This fruit driven gem bursts with
ripe green apple, pear and stone fruit, allowing clean, rich
flavors to be balanced with bright acidity, minerality and
light oak.

GAZETTE SPECIAL $49.99
Created by Joe Wagner, a fifth-generation winemaker
whom named the winery after his grandmother Belle Glos
who was one of the cofounders of Caymus. Belle Glos is
an amazing wine with ruby tint, and raspberries. On the
palate it provides notes of cherries, plums, and blueberries
followed with vanilla and cocoa. Belle Glos is a force to be
recognized and the wine packs a punch. Really a great wine

LOUIS JADOT BEAUNE 1ER CRU
CLOS DE COUCHEREAUX 2018
REGULAR $73.99
GAZETTE SPECIAL $59.99
90-92 Points Wine Advocate
Louis Jadot is both a negociant and grower that has
established itself as a household name due to the quality
of their wines and the reasonable prices asked for them.
They offer formidable regional wines from Macon and
Beaujolais that put them in the mainstream decades ago,
but what is often overlooked, unfortunately, is their superb
quality offerings from the Côtes de Beaune and Nuits. As a
negociant, they have access to some of the best vineyard
sources in the region. Additionally, the domaine-owned
vineyards have tremendous pedigree and deserve the
acclaim they receive. Clos de Couchereaux is a well-
drained southern facing vineyard at the top of the slope
with good exposure. The resulting wines are powerful,
complex and energetic with dense red fruits, mixed berries,
leather, licorice and subtle, well-integrated oak.

KOSTA BROWN RUSSIAN RIVER
PINOT NOIR
REGULAR $109.00
GAZETTE SPECIAL $94.99
94 Points Jeb Dunnick 2019
On a recent sojourn to the Russian River Valley, the best
Pinot that I enjoyed was a Kosta Brown. As a friend of mine
noted during the winery tasting, "there wasn't a stinker
in the bunch" which included several of their other Pinots
and Chardonnay. This vibrant and pure style of a Russian
River Valley Pinot Noir offers a vivid array of redcurrants,
wildflowers and subtle baking spice nuances. Gorgeous
on the palate as well, it's medium to full-bodied and has
pure, focused textured, silky tannins, and a great finish.
Undeniably very Burgundian in style, with good acidity,
tannins, and precision. It's rare to say this about California
Pinot nowadays, but you could lay this beauty down for quite
some time... if you dare!.
PAIR WITH RED FLESHED SEAFOOD, PRIME RIB AND
OF COURSE DARK TURKEY MEAT AND STUFFING!.

CANTELE SALICE SALENTINO
RESERVA
REGULAR $16.99
GAZETTE SPECIAL $12.99
Negroamaro literally translates to "black-bitter" in
Italian and is the key grape in Salice Salentino, one of
the best wines from Puglia. Cantele deftly cultivates
this late-ripening, native varietal to ensure that the final
wine is balanced without a too high alcohol level, a
peril of winemaking in hot climates. The nose is intense
and complex, with notes of candied fruits and spices
that evolve into clean underbrush, tea and amber hints.
Enhanced by notes of red flowers, the aromas return on
the palate transported by confident but not overbearing
alcohol. The tannins and fresh acidity work in counterpoint
to create a balanced, smooth wine.
ENJOY WITH ROAST VEAL AND BEEF, GAME, LAMB,
AND RIPE AGED CHEESES.
