BISCI VERDICCHIO
DI MATELICA
REGULAR $21.99
GAZETTE SPECIAL $14.99
Verdicchio di Matelica? The hard Rock n' Rollers bought
a winery? Nah, Matelica is actually a D.O.C. in Marche,
the calf of the boot so to speak when viewing a map of
the Country. Verdicchio, derived from verde, or green, is a
lively and cleansing varietal that has developed a following
due to its vibrant acidity, but also due to its refined and
satiating nature. Light gold in color, the apple and stone
fruits dominate, with a softening tone of white flowers,
almond, and finishing with a citrussy note.
THIS LIVELY ITALIAN GEM IS GREAT WITH WHITE
FLESHED FISH, OR LASAGNA WITH A WHITE SAUCE.
Geoff Nicoll Dir. Beer, Wine & Spirits
If ever there were a time in our recent history that we,
collectively as individuals and a country, could not
wait for the New Year to begin, it's this one! Normally,
one would think of 'stay healthy and wise' during
these strange times, yet a good dose of 'let your hair
down' wouldn't hurt. Our adventurous wine staff has
concocted a delicious cacophony of reds, whites and
sparklers to tickle your taste buds while toasting to a
much needed dose of normalcy. So hoist your favorite
libation and cheers to the New Year! And remember to
drink outside the box.

VEUVE AMBAL CRÉMANT ROSÉ
REGULAR $19.99
GAZETTE SPECIAL $16.99
I know, some may be thinking, ok, enough bubbles
already... Holidays are over! Conversely, bubbles are
a lively, festive, all-seasonal beverage and should be
a routine staple for every food & wine lover's cabinet.
Veuve Ambal is a sparkling wine producer situated in
the heart of Burgundy, with a wide variety of vineyard
sources throughout the intricate network of appellations.
Plenty of top-notch Chardonnay and Pinot Noir to craft
refined and complex sparklers. Crafted in the same
traditional method as used in true Champagne, the wine
goes through a secondary fermentation, in the actual
bottle, not in a tank and transferred like the bulk cheap.
and thin fizzy stuff from other regions and throughout
Italy. The flavors are far more intense, and food friendly,
with an inimitable structure. Crisp red fruits, strawberry,
cherry, and currants, with a racy citrussy vein followed by
a firmly textured, rich finish.
GREAT WITH RED FLESHED FISH, POULTRY, AND
ALWAYS DELICIOUS WITH SAUTÉS.

This is a medium bodied Sauvignon Blanc from Sonoma

I TRIED THIS WINE WITH A TURKEY SANDWICH AND
IT WAS DIFFICULT NOT HAVING A SECOND.

BANSHEE SONOMA COAST
CHARDONNAY
Regular $24.99
Gazette Special $19.99
The nose of this Chardonnay leans towards the orchard
fruit range showing both apple and pear but also hints
of tropical fruit and vanilla bean. In the mouth the wine
is moderate weight but packs extraordinary depth of
echoing flavor, the aromas with Fuji apple, Meyer lemon,
sage and vanilla panna cotta, the finish is all energy with
mouthwatering citrus notes.
Enjoy with lighter meats and fish or with fruit and
cheese.

BILLECART-SALMON EXTRA
BRUT VINTAGE 2008
REGULAR $89.99
GAZETTE SPECIAL $84.99
From Nicolas Francois Billecart and Elisabeth Salmon,
connected by marriage, came about the Maison Billecart-
Salmon. Made with three grape varietals, from the three
sub regions of Champagne, France. Pinot Noir of Montagne
de Reims, Chardonnay of Côte des Blancs, and Pinot
Meunier from Valle de la Marne. On the nose notice the
delicious intensity of precise fruit with citrusy and nutty
notes and a nuanced sensory development built around
pastry scents. Chestnut cream, fresh blueberries and
shortbread on the palate, focused by a delicate texture and
persistent finale. A deeply sculpted vintage with a noble,
exquisitely distinctive character.
PAIR WITH FRESH TUNA, PAPAYA AND AVOCADO, OR
WITH PAN-FRIED FOIE GRAS, PEACHES, VERBENA
AND RHUBARB.
